Zach Wiltgen

Zach is a seasoned drummer specializing in marching percussion. Starting his learning in 2nd grade, Zach continued to pursue this hobby through high school. He was an active member of the marching band at Carl Sandburg High School and went on to perform in the Macy's Great American Marching Band his senior year. After graduation, Zach headed immediately to Kalamazoo, Michigan, where he marched two summers with the Legends Drum & Bugle Corps.

Attending the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign, Zach played snare drum on the Illini Drumline for four years, leading them as the drum captain his junior and senior year. Zach was awarded the 2014 Illini Drumline Scholarship.

Currently, Zach is entering his fourth season performing with the Chicago Bears Drumline. He is also a drumline technician at Carl Sandburg High School and a private instructor at Loyola Academy.

Zach joined Chicago Percussion Lessons in April, 2019.
