Dane has been an active percussionist and drummer in Chicago since moving to the city in 2010. His performance experience covers a lot of ground and has given him the opportunity to share the stage with many amazing musicians including The Knights, Vadim Gluzman, Anne Akiko Meyers, Alessio Bax, New Music Detroit, the Madison Symphony Orchestra, Goldford, the Gold Coast All Stars, the Chicago Players, Lakeshore Rush, Sidewalk Chalk, and Spectrum Trio to name a few. Dane has performed throughout the U.S. at venues and festivals such as Ravinia, the North Shore Chamber Music Festival, PASIC, Chicago Symphony Center, Lincoln Hall, Windy City Live, Vocalo Radio, Merit School of Music, Thalia Hall, and the Juilliard School.

Having a deep passion for education, Dane started Chicago Percussion Lessons in 2010. From 2011-2017, Dane served as an instructor at Terra Sounds in Glenview, IL as well as Neuqua Valley High School in Naperville, IL, which was named a National GRAMMY Signature School in 2013. From 2020-2025, Dane took CPL to Madison, WI where he was the Assistant Director of the Wisconsin Youth Symphony Orchestra (WYSO) Percussion Ensemble, working alongside the legendary Vicki Jenks. In 2026, he returned to Chicago with his family to set up a home studio for in-person and online lessons.

ANDREW GREEN

Andrew is a versatile drummer, percussionist, and music educator, specializing in drum set, classical percussion, and world percussion. His main project is a collaborative indie jazz trio called Twin Talk, with saxophonist Dustin Laurenzi and bassist/vocalist Katie Ernst. Twin Talk were featured performers at the 2014 Chicago Jazz Festival and regularly tour around the US. Andrew’s other projects include orchestral folk group Jonas Friddle & the Majority, grand prize winner of the 2012 John Lennon Songwriting Award, and samba percussion group Bloco Maximo.

An active freelance musician, he plays regularly with Jamie Breiwick’s Spirits Quartet, Katie Ernst’s Little Words, and groups led by Paul Dietrich, Dan Meinhardt, Corbin Andrick, Miles Comiskey, and many others. Andrew has performed in the US and around the world, including shows in Europe, Canada, at the Rochester Jazz Festival in New York, the Hyde Park Jazz Festival in Chicago, the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland, and the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC.

Andrew joined Chicago Percussion Lessons in April, 2016.
